New · iPhone Duo

Fully ready for iPhone Duo.

Closed, unfolded or half folded: HealthLumio adapts to every posture – with a side bar on the outer display, plenty of room on the inner display and content split right at the fold.

Still from the video: “More room. More overview.” next to the Today view on the unfolded iPhone Duo

The video is only loaded from YouTube (Google) once you click “Play”. Data is then transferred to YouTube – details in the privacy policy.

HealthLumio on the unfolded iPhone Duo: Today in landscape, rings on the left and legend on the right

Unfolded

The inner display at full width: rings on the left, legend on the right, metrics and vitals side by side – and charts that label every day.

HealthLumio on the outer display of the closed iPhone Duo: Today with a side bar

Closed

The whole app on the outer display – with the bar on the side, nothing cut off.

Half folded

Content splits into two halves right at the fold: Compare goes two-column, setup with Lumi uses both halves – nothing runs across the crease.

HealthLumio on the unfolded iPhone Duo in portrait: Compare with the tab bar at the bottom

Portrait

Unfolded in portrait with the tab bar at the bottom – the layout follows the space available, not the device.

Lumi

Hi, I'm Lumi.

Lumi is your little companion and guides you through setup in about a minute – friendly, personal and without that form-filling feeling.

  • “What should I call you?” – afterwards, “Today” greets you by name.
  • Profile from Apple Health: date of birth, sex, height and weight are taken over – no typing things twice.
  • Your goals for steps and sleep; ring goals come straight from your activity goals.
  • Everything stays on the device – your name isn't synced either.
Welcome to HealthLumio: Lumi introduces itself Lumi, the HealthLumio companion: orange-red hair, sunglasses on the head, hoodie with ring logo

What should I call you?

New: Ask Lumi

Ask Lumi. Completely private.

How did I sleep this week? How can I improve my performance? Lumi answers questions about your own data – with local AI from Apple Intelligence, right on your iPhone or iPad.

  • On your device only: Lumi uses Apple's on-device language model – not Private Cloud Compute, no third-party services, no account and no API key.
  • Nothing leaves your device: questions, values and answers are neither transmitted nor stored. The App Store label stays “Data Not Collected”.
  • The app does the math: averages, personal baselines, week-over-week comparisons and ratings against reference values are calculated by HealthLumio – Lumi puts them into words.
  • About what you're looking at: open a value and Lumi knows its 30-day history and reference values. A floating button you can move anywhere.

Requires an iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro or later, iPad with M-series chip) and Apple Intelligence turned on. Lumi's answers can contain mistakes and are no substitute for medical advice. Turn it off anytime in Settings.

Ask Lumi: asked “How did I sleep this week?”, Lumi answers with the average of 7 h 29 min, within the recommended 7 to 9 hours for adults

New: color themes

Your color.

Eight color themes for the tab bar, sidebar, buttons, switches and widgets – from Ember to Graphite, each contrast-checked for light and dark.

  • Settings → Appearance → Color Theme – with a live preview.
  • Meaning stays: category colors and classifications such as green for favorable don’t change.
  • Same on iPhone and iPad – the theme syncs via iCloud.

Try it – the buttons recolor this page.

Color theme: choose Ember, Red, Pink, Violet, Blue, Teal, Green or Graphite with a preview of the tab bar

FAQ

Good to know.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone (including iPhone Duo) and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. The widgets also appear on the Mac – macOS shows your iPhone's widgets there.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. HealthLumio shows everything that lands in Apple Health – from the iPhone itself, Apple Watch, scales, blood pressure monitors or other apps. The more sources, the more values.

Where does my health data go?

Nowhere. The app reads Apple Health and calculates only on your device. There is no account and no server; the developer receives no data. Only settings such as goals and display options sync through your iCloud account.

Does HealthLumio write data to Apple Health?

No. HealthLumio only reads. You can change access at any time in the Health app under Profile → Apps → HealthLumio.

How far back do the long-term trends go?

As far back as your data in Apple Health – often many years if you have used your iPhone for a long time.

Which languages and units does HealthLumio support?

HealthLumio is available in English and German and follows your device's language. Units follow your region and can be changed in Settings – for example pounds or stones, miles, °F, fluid ounces, kilojoules or mmol/L for blood glucose.

Who is Lumi?

Lumi is HealthLumio's companion. On first launch, Lumi guides you through setup, asks what you'd like to be called and takes over your profile from Apple Health. You can watch the introduction again anytime in Settings.

Does Ask Lumi send my data to the cloud?

No. Lumi answers exclusively with Apple's on-device language model (Apple Intelligence) – not via Private Cloud Compute and not via services like ChatGPT. Questions, values and answers stay on your iPhone or iPad and are not stored. The feature needs a device with Apple Intelligence, such as iPhone 15 Pro or later or an iPad with an M-series chip, and can be turned off in Settings.

Where do the reference values come from?

From published guidelines and recommendations, such as the 2023 ESH guideline on blood pressure, the WHO, the American Diabetes Association, the AASM and the EFSA. Every source is linked in the app. The values apply to healthy adults and are guidance only – not a diagnosis.

What's in the report for my doctor?

A cover page with key figures, charts for heart and circulation, body, sleep, breathing and activity, all blood pressure readings with their category, your ECGs, plus reference values, methods and sources. You choose the period and content; the PDF is created only on your device.

Is HealthLumio a medical device?

No. HealthLumio is for information only, makes no diagnoses and does not replace medical advice. Classifications such as the blood pressure categories follow recognized guidelines but are for information only.
